I don't think brand is a big deal. Particular filters will have certain levels that they guarantee to remove, I believe. However, the one you linked to did not seem to have a DI component. You will want at least one DI chamber for reef tanks, IMO.

Brands don't matter at all they all function the same no matter the brand. What matters is what you put in the prefilters and if you have DI or not if you want your TDS to be 0 or near 0

Thank you for your response adova, unfortunately, they only got RO and I don't think I can get DI here will it be okay if RO only?

I would get a unit with a pressure gauge and an inline tds meter. These two things will save you a lot of headaches and guess work.

Hi whosurcaddie , please enlighten me what is the use of pressure gauge? I know tds meter is to measure the disolve solids. Would it be okay if just s simple tds meter can be found on ebay not inline meter? Thank you very much..

A pressure gauge will let you know when you have a drop in pressure. A drop in pressure means your sediment and carbon filters need to be changed. Not changing your pre filters at the right time can shorten the length of your ro membrane which is the most expensive filter in the unit.

I recommend getting an in line tds meter. You can buy one separate from the unit and just install it yourself. I don't really like a standalone tds meter because the reading is often inacurate. If you want to get a seperate tds meter be sure to test your water in a clean glass straight from the dishwasher. Never test from a plastic jug it will always get a positive tds reading. Same goes for any container your storing water in.
