Filter question thoughts wanted
I have a 220 gallon tank with coral inserts no live rock and i have about 2inch of live sand.
My "filter" is emp 400 hob, fx6 canister, eshopps 300 wet dry packed with bio balls and ceramic 8x8x4 block and cheeto with light 24/7 So my question is... Is the fx6 and emp400 really doing anything for my tank as far as filter? or are they doing it all and the wet/dry aint doing much? Reason i am asking is id like to remove anything thats not needed but don't want my tank to suffer or recycle or not be able to handle the bio load. 2nd question if i should remove anything listed above what would you do? No i will not add any rocks sorry out of question at this time. I thought about skimmer but then id loose the cheeto spot and i swear cheeto removes tons of nitrates... Hoping to get some good feedback but i know its a odd question lol Also note this is a fish only tank no inverts or corals. Thanks
