Refugium Question

I am making a refugium to put under my 125 g reef tank. My issue is that because of how my cabinet is built for the tank, I cannot fit anything larger than a 20G tank in the cabinet. Will this be enough?

Is the 20gal, just for refuge? or sump + refuge? if it's just for refuge then 20 gal will be fine, if you need for sump and refuge there will be no benefit.
