Jebao RW8 for 90 gallon
My current 90 gallon mixed reef has had 4 Korolia Evolutions (2) 750s, a 1040 & a 1400 on a JBJ wavemaker for a few years now. Unfortunetly, I have had to replace several covers (supplied by Hydor) & impellers over this time.
I borrowed my buddies 6 monyh old Jebao WP60 to try. I like the W1/S3 mode, the corals all sway back & forth nicely. Something my Korolias just can't do. This pump is just really big. Would a single RW8 be good to replace 2 of the Korolias & achieve the mild back & forth movement? I'd hate to buy it and find its to weak. The RW15 is close the double the price & bigger, so I'd rather not just get the bigger pump & run it lower unless I had to. RW8 & RW15 owners please chime in. I need help deciding.

Anybody? Hasn't anybody tried an RW8 in a 90?

I use 2 rw-8 on a 55 gal, and they easily reach all the way across the tank at about 1/2 power. I'm in the process of upgrading to a 90 as well, and I am confident that they will be adequate.

I use 2 RW8's on my 90gal (one on each end). I have some of my LPS protected by rock structures to keep them from getting too much flow while the SPS can get all they want.

2 RW8s will be plenty. I'm running them in my 80 gallon and I keep them running very low speeds.

I'm running two rw-8's on my 90 and they are too powerful in "else" mode (huge sandstorm). I have them set to the second lowest setting in w1 mode and running at different time intervals. Hope this helps....

Thanks everybody. Yes, this all helps. Sounds like they're the correct size for my tank.

I run 2x RW8 on my 48x24x24 120g. I can't run above 60% without clearing sand out of the corners.
will be fine on your 90g

I got my RW-8 today and was a little surprised. From the reviews I've read, I was expecting a more flow. I've set the flow on high and it has nice flow, but not as much as I was hoping. On full speed W1 it makes maybe a 1/8 - 1/4 wave. Guess I'll need to add a 2nd one in the future if I find I like it.
Size is nice, smaller than my Koralias.

Please update how you like them when they arrive.
I haven't figured what setting I want to use yet. I was using W1 mode on the WP60, but the RW8 seems to hammer the closest corals with minimal reaction to the furthest ones in that mode. I have it in ELSE mode now, so we'll see how that works. I suppose (2) RW8s would give the best results.

I am looking into Rw-8 or Rw-15 and my question is why would you need two Rw-8? I have 90 g tank with 2 Koralia evolution 1400 and one side of the tank has a dead zone on the sand.

I now have two rw15s in my 55 and I still have dead spots. Wish I kept the 4s.
