With 2 damsels, your probably done. They get big and very aggressive, typically killing anything that it feels competes for space.

29G biocube I have 2 snowflake clowns(mated pair so they don't fight), 1 black capped basslet, and 1 citron goby. Might add back another flame angel that died in TTM, but not sure right now.

I know my suggestion sounded a little harsh(didn't intend it to be that way), but damsels are known to be very aggressive when they get bigger, and clown fish are in the damsel family.

I take the general rule of thumb from the FW hobby, one inch of fish per gallon of water. Take into consideration what size the fish will become when fully grown, not what it is now.

It's not about how many fishes, its more full grown size plus temperament. Your damsel, as it is now, will probably turn on additional fishes and attack them to the death, particularly if it doesn't have a "home" in the rocks like a dead coral head or something to protect.

Damsels just tend to be particularly aggressive over time. Same with maroon clowns.

Maximum fishes in a 25g FOWLR? Maybe 6-8, but again, entirely dependent on fish size, potential size, and temperment. You could add a deep sand bed and add a bunch of pearly jawfishes, and they'd get along fine and be a super cool display.

Go pick up the "101 best nano-reef species" and it'll show you temperament, compatibility, and approximate tank size appropriate for each of the fishes.

I agree with above but another consideration is bioload.
Rethink you damsel, pretty fish but aggressive. My son has a 90g and he had to get rid of his.

6 to 8 fish
You can also put in several dart fish. They swim at the top so you need a cover. My favorite blenny is the midas blenny. A goby. A couple of of clowns.

yea I know it totally depends on their size when fully grown, I only plan to add fish that don't tend to get that big anyway, and luckily my sand bed is pretty deep, so il look into the jawfish that your talking about, I wouldt mind that at all(hope I can find them tho, its really hard finding saltwater fish where im at :/ ), and like you said, the number in my head wasn't any more than 8, I totally knew I wasn't putting more than 8 in there, n probably less, just wanted to see what everyone else to make sure im on the right train of thought.... but thnx for the suggestion I appreciate it! btw I know im probably gona end up getting rid of that only damsel I have, theyre soo aggressive and annoying to have.. smh

if you're looking into a jawfish, minimum 7 to 8 inches of mixed rubble and sand is ideal. they will jump a lot if they don't feel secure in their hole.

You also want to consider the area of the tank that the fish you are choosing live in. You may not want five fish that prefer open water. Fish like a goby can allow you to add fish and avoid constant conflict.

I'd be careful of a flame in a tank of that size. I had to tear my rock apart and get my flame out. He became very aggressive and picked on the clowns and caused one to jump out.

I have a 25 gallon cube with the following fish: mated pair of picassos, 2 longspine cardinals, pearly jawfish, flame hawk, black leopard wrasse, yellow coris wrasse, and a chalk basslet.

I intend to add a whitespot pygmy filefish, and possibly a third long spine.
