Apex salinity probe placement

I am having terrible time finding a spot that works. Every 3 to 4 days bubbles form and drop the reading. I've tried different spots even higher return flow and bubbles still form. My 3rd location is inside skimmer's adjustment tube handle and wonder would this work better wouldn't think bubbles in there?

I to had a hard time with this and currently have mine laid in at a angle across one of the pipes on my skimmer and it has been working best. I found the key to be a very heavy angle which helps the bubbles escape.

It was in my return chamber with my return pump but it was all over the place with readings. I have now had it in this new location for months and seems to be pretty stable. It reads a little low but its fairly consistent.

Do you have an overflow? Might work in there. You could use a piece of pvc with some holes in it...drop it in there (I've seen float switches protected like that). Micro bubbles can be a real nuisance...maybe focus on getting rid of those.

Thanks for the information. I'm going to give this skimmer tube area a try and see what happens. The skimmer has a slight vibration thinking this might help shake the bubbles off the tip if they do collect again.

I also keep mine in the overflow.

Do you have the probe completely submerged?
