40b skimmer
I am having a hard time deciding on a protein skimmer for my new tank. It is a 40b with a 20L sump below. I am considering the aquamaxx cones co-1, but I am concerned that it will be hard to get a high enough water level in the sump since it is only 12" tall. The other options are a Bubble magus curve 5 or a reef octopus classic 110 space saver. I have zero experience with protein skimmers and I really don't know what makes one better than another.

I have the same set up - 40b with a 20 gal long sump. I use an SCA-301 protein skimmer. It's a simple design; it has a very small footprint; and the collection rate is outstanding. The best part is it's only $95 and ships in 2 days:

Does anyone else have any input? Has anyone used any of the skimmers I listed? Thanks for any help.
