Pest problems? Or just my zoos not doing good?

They are beige in color and long tube like with small feathers at the end. Worm like, immobile. Someone said they were sponges. Is that correct? So that means my zoos are dying and they are just taking over the space?

My parameters are good so I don't get why my zoos are dying. It is common to have them die like this? Most of them were from the oceans, fragged and not much time to heal. From reefs2go.com I may never buy from them ever again. They seem to rush the corals from ocean to customers door step, every single step of the way.

My tank is about 2 months old so maybe it's still too new. This hobby is getting frustrating.

Pineapple sponges. Not to worry. Zoas are pretty hardy so give them a little time to open up and become lively.

The this is they were opened before but now they are closed. I think it's due to too much lighting. I'll see if I can tone it down a little.

Why is the hobby getting frustrating? And did reefs2go say they came from the ocean? Most of the zoas you see in the aquarium trade are aqua cultured.

As far as your zoas just let them be for a little bit they diont look bad, they are just closed. I run into times a full colony of 40-50 zoas will close for a few days. What kind of lights are your running and whats your light cycle? Also most zoas like higher flow area's. I also ran into some issues with some zoas frags being placed too high in the tank and stressing out from too high of light intensity. IF you are really worried about it you can do a revive dip. You could also get some specialized answers in the zoanthid ares of RC.
