Need some advise on drilling tank!

So I recently purchased this 120 gallon long acrylic fish tank it is not reef ready so I'm planning on installing a ghost overflow from reef savvy. This will be my first time drilling a tank so I am really nervous and scared where to drill my holes. I know i will have two in the middle but idk how far up I should drill them. Also has anyone purchased from reef savvy before and are you satisfied with the ghost overflow? Any feed back would be nice thank you!

Drilling acrylic is a piece of cake ,wait for the template.
one bit of advice, once you start drawing do not stop... The metal will get hot and fuse to the acrylic

They do, though Reef Savvy only has 1.5 weeks left on their claim of 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Thank you so much for the info guys. Do I need to put water so it won't melt? Also I just buffed my tank with plastic-x will it be fine after I rinse it a couple times, it won't be an issue down the road?

water is a great coolant. Also tape the backside of hole with duck tape. it will catch the plug. Are you using a drill press? if not check for a used one. I got a big old beefy one for cheap and it was worth it! That said I did drill five holes in glass.

Best of luck to your new tank.

And be careful not to put a hole too close to edge or seam.
