Thinking about rebooting.
I have had my 36 gallon bow front running for going on three years now. I'm thinking about rebooting the tank due to a year long battle with bubble algae that I seem to be losing. Every time it seems to get better, it comes back tenfold. Wanting to add a sump and go as automated as possible if this reboot does come to fruition.
The kicker is that I do not want to lose any of my livestock (fish, corals and inverts). Has anyone done this with any measurable success? |

move you live stock to a temp tank until your upgrades are finished. im in the same boat changing from a 125g to a 180g.

Lots of people transition to new tanks successfully by storing their livestock in a temp tank. I think you would have to expect some negative impact on the corals, but the fish/inverts should be ok as long as you keep parameters stable.
