Newbie lookie for fish advice

Hi, everyone. I've been reading and learning a lot on this forum and I finally decided to register.

I'm getting a Coralife 29-Gallon Biocube. Mostly because of limited available space, but also because of the modifications that can be done to this tank. This is my first tank in about 15 years. I always wanted to go saltwater, but this will be my first. I have two kids that I want to include in the process and of course my daughter wants nemo, so we are getting a clownfish. My son wants a green fish and the only thing I can come up with is a Green Wrasse. How is the compatability with these two fish? I've heard that they may be too agressive to keep in the same tank. Is a green wrasse a hard fish to get? Any other green fish out there that would be compatible with a clownfish?

A Green Wrasse is going to need a bigger tank than that. How about a green clown goby instead? The clown and the goby should be fine together, and a bonus is that you could keep a shrimp like a cleaner shrimp!

I agree with the clown goby suggestion and its much better suited to the nano tank. However the clown goby isn't a shrimp goby so it wont pair with a pistol shrimp.

Just make sure you buy them slowly. A good rule is to never double your fish load in a single month meaning next month add another fish and possibly two the month after.

I learned the hard way and added a second fish just after 2 weeks of my first. I measured my tears... salinity 45 PPT. Enjoy the hobby!
