Dialing in an AquaC Remora Nano

I've got an AquaC Remora Nano on my tank and overall it's working decently but I'm not sure where to set the collection cups height for the ideal skimmate production. I guess ultimately I don't know what I'm looking for in skimmate production.

If I set the cup all the way down I product 1" to 2" of light brown colored water in the cup after 24 hours. I assume I don't want to produce tea colored water, so I should raise it up?

Not sure where to set it and what the end resulte skimmate should look like as well as how much I should expect to get over a 24 hour period in a 29g tank with a pair of clownfish and inverts (5 hermit crabs, 5 snails and 1 blood/fire shrimp).

Assuming the Nano behaves the same as the rest of the Remoras, you're going to get a very wet skimmate. "Tea colored water" is a pretty good description of the skimmate a Remora puts off, but that much in a 24hr period sounds a bit much. I'd raise it up a bit and see what happens. It's always going to be very wet, but just vary in coloration.

I Raised it up last night and the skimmate I had this morning is much less and darker, but still very wet. The skimmer I had years ago in the sump of my 125g tank produced a sludge, so this being so much more liquid in nature has thrown me off.

Is it much worse (or better) to be producing the thick sludge my old skimmer made or this dark water this remora is putting out?
