UV sterilizer
+1 for the UV, i had a cloudy tank hooked up the uv and cleared it within 24 hours, my wife came home to a crystal clear tank .

I've had this issue before where it stayed cloudy for a month, no idea why, but the UV did work, i've since taken it off my tank, it's been about a year and no more cloud. For whatever reason it happened to both of my tanks when they were fairly new.

I was skeptical of uv sterilizers but got so frustrated I decided to try one. Its a new 210g that I cycled with ammonia at 2ppm. So I established a pretty good bacterial bed then added 2 fish, 2 weeks later I added 2 more fish. Probably due to my overfeeding I got a horrendous bacterial bloom mixed with a brown algae bloom. 1st pic is what the tank looked like, 2nd pic is 24 hours later; the next day the water was crystal clear.
