LED light question
hi Reefers,
I am building 120 gallons mixed corals, I bought used tank that comes with 2 LED lights thin strip which is 48" long(each strip has 36 leds sets in one row) with one is blue and the other white. the guy that sold me said this is good for keeping coral. any suggestion, don't know the brand other than the power supply said model Lyd1205000, apparently this is a pretty popular generic all purpose ac/dc power supply. Any idea of this type of led lights? Alternatively, I am thinking going with 2x Radion 15 pro or 2xhydra hd 26. I like the radion but not happy that they have to use reef link to be able to control via iphone. any idea if they will come up with controller built in like Hydra since they are the same company. Like to save $ where I can but also wants to do it right. Open to suggestions. I bought the Tunze osmolator for ATO, italready has cadlight skimmers. Thanks in advance |

For a combo of tried and true t5 lighting with Bluetooth capabilities check out the Giessman fixtures on bulkreefsupply.com.The lights you have probably won't work for coral growth but you might be able to use them for moonlighting or to get the spectrum color you like combined with other lighting sources.
