ATI Powermodule problem
I own a 8 bulb x 54 watt unit that has served me well for over 5 years but recently bulbs 4 & 5 would no longer light. I purchased a new ballast from ATI North America and installed the ballast connected to bulbs 4 & 5 recently but now bulbs 3,4,5 & 6 will fire and light up briefly before shutting down after approx. 1 second. All four bulbs blinking on and off like this but are not staying on. Any one have any thoughts about what I should try next? All bulbs function normally in sockets 1,2 or 7,8.

This happened to me twice, one time it was a pinched wire, the other time it's becasue the connection to the end cap wasn't on tight. I would get a needle nose pliers and push all wires into the end caps, then check for pinched wires. What's happening is the ballast senses a short somewhere, so it shuts down after firing the bulbs

Thanks for the reply, I'll pull out the pliers and give it a shot. Shouldn't take too long but this is getting frustrating!
