Adding a frag tank
I have a 180 DT and a basement sump (40G l). My tank is SPS and I expect I will be wanting to frag so I would like to add frag tank to the system and I assume it should be lower than the sump.
How do I go about plumbing it in? I am thinking the overflow from the DT to the sump then an overflow of some type to the frag and the return to the DT from the Frag?

Why not put by your display and split your return plumbing between your display and the frag tank? Have both tanks drain into same section of sump.

Or put it next to your sump and add a small pump and drain just for the frag tank?

Threat it like a second display. Drain to the drain section of the sump and pump from the pump section. Weather you add a pump or split the return is up to you. For mine I added a dedicated pump for the frag tank.
You can see the plumbing running between them in the pic.

I also wanted a coral QT so I keep my frag tank isolated. I'm not in the coral selling business so the frag tank is like a hospital with all the healthy stuff going into the DT.
