Please need help finding a heater.
Hi All -
I need to bring the temp of my 35 Hexagon up to about 84F. I think I'll need at least 150w heater. Challenge is I need it to be 10" preferably 9.5" or less. Having a hard time finding 150w heater that is that small and reasonably priced. I'd like to do this for $10-15. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Anyone think I need more wattage? Thx!

I've always had luck with the cheap Aqueon preset heaters. Running three right now (two 50 watt and one 150) in three seperate tanks. They cost in the $ range you're looking at and can be purchased everywhere.
Never had a reliability issue, knock on wood. The 150 watt is heating up my 55 with a 55 gallon sump/fuge (~70 gallons total) and with my return, reactor and skimmer pumps and T5's keeps my system right around the preset 78 degrees.

I just picked up a cheapo $5 200w heater from China off ebay. Hope it doesn't cause a nuclear meltdown!

I started in freshwater way back and never tried discus. Oddly enough the care needed always scared the crap out of me.
