DIY tank makeover

Alright, it all started when my reef equipments started failing one by one, that I badly wanted to have my own system which I could tune and fix when anything bad happened. The first candidate for the diy was obviously the doser. The ones available in the market were too clumsy with an old push button interface.
So started working on the arduino with a touchscreen interface and then realized that the busier I got, the more my reef got neglected. I hardly had time to go and work on the touchscreen which lay in my sump. So it was imminent that a web enabled system had to be invented.

Version 2 was a reloaded version of the doser with a web interface which ran on my home network. So I could just type in the ip address and it opened up a little page where I could enter the dosing values from my mobile phone. This helped me a lot as I no longer had to tweak stuff jumping inside the sump.

Version 3 - More enhancements, wherein I included an alarm which went on whenever my dosing bottles went dry. I did that quite easily by calculating the remaining volume in the bottles whenever I dosed and made sure It made a beep alarm when it reached zero.
Okay, first things first. Attaching pictures of the diy doser.

It's nice that you can/could make something like this.

For me, I bought the Jaebeo DP4- 4 head doser for $75 shipped to my door- new!
It comes with it's own controller for each head seperately, how many dosings per day, how many times a month, and how many ML on each dosing, and the time of it; all controlled by a real nice interface.
It has it's own battery to keep the settings in a power out too.

For me, while I build/make/DIY many of my own things,
this 4 head doseing pump w/ internal controller for $75 was the ticket for me.
Yes, it was new, unused, in the box.
I did initially calibrate each on the heads via the directions.

Here's a page off Ebay- prices are all over the place!
MIne's been working great without one issue for about 6 months now

Careful though, those pumps have had issues of sticking on and dumping all the stuff in the tank from the holding container.
