Flame Hawkfish feeding
I have recently purchase a flame hawk fish, I have been feeding it flake food and bloodworms. It eats the food as it falls but he doesn't eat much because he doesn't see most of it fall. Will he find the food on the bottom.?What does everyone else do for feeding their hawkfish?

Mines eat Mysis, Brine, Mussels, Clams, Flakes, New Era Marine Glazers, and New Life Spectrum Pellets. They pretty much eat anything you put inside the tank.

Does it also eat the stuff after it falls to the bottom?

Mine eats whatever I put in, he swims right up into the water column to get his food. Very active during feeding. Some times hell be on the bottom or perched on a rock and eats but not often. Im sure yours will become more active. As long as its eating, dont be too concerned.

Mines use to stay on the bottom during feeding time and would grab stuff as it went by him which I believe is one of their natural behaviors in the wild. Anyway, during this time, I kept my wavemakers on so it could send the food everywhere and get down to the bottom. Eventually he started to come up in the water column when I start feeding.

I have an autofeeder with freeze dried mysis, NLS pellets and Omega flakes. He knows when it goes off and sits under it waiting.
Mine eats whatever I put in. I also have hoards of porcelain crabs and he hasn't touched a one yet.

Feeding
I have been feeding once a day. I fed today after work and it took more food today, I think he just needs to get accustomed to my tank and feeding procedure. Thanks for all the help.
