Crab ID - White(ish) with black tip claws
Hi all
First let me apologise for a terrible photo, all I had was a phone- and a second to shoot it . I've got a hitch hiker and I don't know what it is....It's about an inch across, it's not small as "little" crabs go. Thanks |

Looks like a gorilla crab. if so, you may want to put it in the sump.

I don't think it's a gorilla. Looks like a stone crab to me. Get it out, they are super aggressive. At least mine is. Mine is in my sump (50g Rubbermaid stock tank), he's about the size of a baseball now. I have to be careful working in my sump, it will go after me the first chance it gets, from the other side of the sump. It's fearless and constantly angry and wants to be left alone. Anytime I go to work on the sump I have to make sure I have one eye on it. I somewhat am afraid of how it is going to be when it gets even bigger.
He's a beaut though. Where do you think it came from? What part of the world?
