Biocube 29 Lighting Upgrade

Tried searching but couldn't find answer.

I have the newer biocube 29. 2 stock lights, LED strip and 4 additional spots for what I assume are 6" lights. I see some 14k Phoenix Halide light I want to get. They are 6" so not a replacement for the main lights. Wondering how many I should get? Just going with beginner and soft corals such as zoas, frogspawn, trumpets, mushrooms, etc.

I am not technically savvy at all so please don't tell me to pick up a rapid or one I have to solder and such. Want something easy I can just pop in and keep hood on since I have a wrasse and don't need him committing suicide. This Phoenix has great reviews. Just wondering how many I need or if 1 6" is enough to supplement coral growth.

Thanks!

If your only looking to grow softies, the stock lighting is more then adequate. The additional spots are for more LED strips, but the strips for the biocube will add nothing as the strips are very low powered.

I went with the AI Prime over my BioCube. Great price and amazing control. You can have glass cut at HD or Lowes to reduce evaporation and prevent fish from carpet surfing, that's what I did.
