As the title says is 10 gallon tank too small to do TTM on a 2.5" - 3" naso tang? Have had him in qt for 3 weeks want to do TTM now ans observe for another 3 weeks before putting in DT but im limited with space and 10g tanks is all just can fit.

I think even a 20 long would be too small. I would use Brute trash cans.

I'd say have the big can in reserve if he acts freaked. Hard to say 'psychological trauma' with a fish, but they come hardwired with notions of their space requirement, and if he can't take it, you'll have to make the call and put him into DT or into a big barrel.

My naso, about 5", did okay in a 20 long for TTM. I was prepared to pull him early and put him in the observation tank if necessary, but it wasn't. A 10 would have definitely been too small for him.
