banggai cardinal
what is the best way to get a pair of banggai cardinals.
i bought 4 about a month ago, dealer had about 20 juveniles in his tank. they have been there for about 4 weeks. I bought 4 and figured 2 would die off and i would be left with 2. well 3 days later one was dead and 2 hung out on one side of the tank and one the other. week later down to 2, well now i am done to one. do i need to buy a bounded pair any adivce would help anyone have any luck getting a pair of these. not to sound like a jerk, but please dont respond if you haven't keep a breeding pair |

The male has a very deep square jaw. For a successful bonding, you probably should get a larger male than the female. That is what worked for me. They had quite a few babies.

I would think with 4 I would of gotten a male and female but they where all the same size. So maybe that's why. So make needs to be larger

I was told buy 5-6 to get a pair. I didn't listen of course and just bought 2. I got lucky and got a pair though. They have breed already, babies get eaten though.
