Instant Ocean salt mix/ phosphate reading

What is the phosphate reading of your newly mixed water at 1.25 when using Instant Ocean salt mix?

It should be 0. If you're reading phosphates with newly mixed water check your RODI water and see if that's where it's coming from.

Mine reads a goose egg. Sometimes it will read .01.

I would be more worried as to what Alk. your are getting from your IO. I myself have just switched because the last batch I made was at just over 14 and Cal at 495 my friend that uses RC has been getting Alk. of 15 and Cal 585.
I don't know what is up but seeing this happen more often recently, not just on RC but other Forums as well. I not saying to switch or saying its crap, just saying keep your eye on it.

Yeah, I've been getting low Mag readings from IO. Going from memory, I believe the highest Alk reading I got was 12, Ca was alright, but Mag has been consistently low for the last few mixes. Last mix was at 1100 and I think the lowest reading I got was 990( tested 3 time to make sure it wasn't an error on my part).
