New tunze power heads?
I saw on another site that Tunze is announcing a new line of powerheads at Interzoo. Anyone have inside secrets?

Wouldn't be surprised because I bought a pair of 6045's from an online retailer and noticed shortly after (maybe ten days ago) they had taken them off the site

If I had to guess they are working towards a "no cord in the tank" version. But I have nothing to back this up. Love my tunzes and can't wait to see what it is.

That would be awesome and I would want to switch my vortechs out for that. Tunze customer service is amazing (not knocking ecotech) but the ability to control direction of flow would be sweet.

Tunze Headquarters FB page has some teaser pics. There's a new Stream-like pump but only half of it is visible. There's also a new calcium reactor and what appears to be some kind of controller.

5 year warranty, nice. it may be on the larger size but can be easy to hide behind the rock

The output can be directed via a deflector.

Do somebody knows what is the wattage and the flow for the one advertised? For me they look big but maybe they will come with less flow and smaller at some point.

Yeah but they don't rotate back and forth in the tank.

Exactly.
Fish street has a motor that rotates them, but at 65 bucks I'm hesitant to try it. http://Www.fish-street.com/coral_box...otation_system

I too was thinking it might be something other than a new power head version. My tunzes now are close to silent, move a lot of water and don't use much electricity. Not sure why I would need to switch? I really thought it would be a no chord in the tank version. Oh well I'm sure they will be awesome even tho I will stick with what I have.
