Apex controller and dosing pumps

Hi everybody
I am looking at getting getting one of the apex systems but I am wondering will it work with any dosing pumps? I have the brs pumps and don't want to have to buy new pumps I did see apex has some so that's why I was wondering if you have to use theirs
Thank for any info

You are not forced to use the DOS, you can use BRS dosing pumps. I use two BRS dossers currently on my Apex. I recommend to learn how to use OSC programming to control the dossers. Reeftronic has a great calculator to help you program the outlets.

+1 on BRS dosers. They are excellent and you just program them on timers.

+2 on the BRS doser.

I also use that calc with BRS dosers, and its always spot on.

Apex controller and dosing pumps

Keep in mind that BRS and similar dosers may not work reliably on outlets other than 4 and 8 due to how triac outlets work with low draw devices. It's pretty easily addressed, but a complication to be aware of.

True, unless he gets the brand new Apex that is being released this month. It includes the new EB8-32. That has all relay outlets and no triacs.

I have been using BRS dosers for 3 years now with my Apex unit. I considered getting the DOS, but see no reason to spend the money.
