ATI sunpower bulbs dark
I recently bought a 6 bulb ATI sunpower dimmable fixture to supplement the Kessils I have. After the 50 hour break in period recommended by ATI I set up a schedule that starts at 10% intensity and maxes out at 60%. I noticed when I got home that 2 of the bulbs were not lit while the others were. The intensity of both channels when i noticed this was about 58%
If you number the bulbs 1-6 with 1 being at the end of the ATI logo sticker and 6 being at the end of the programming screen it would be bulbs 4 and 6 that were dark. I twisted bulb 6 away from its contacts and then put back in, they flickered on for a second and then turned off with a fluttering of light I then twisted bulb 4 away from the contacts and then back on. Since then they have all stayed on. Is this a possible ballast problem, bulb problem or bulb burn in problem? Hoping I can get some definitive input on the problem or at least a diagnostic strategy to hash out what is causing this |

So the bulbs are all working now?
On my fixture bulb 2 and 5 are channel 1 and the rest are channel 2. If yours is the same it means one of the bulbs was not properly seated most likely. If it was the ballast for channel 2 bulbs 1, 3, 4 and 6 would have all been out. Last edited by ljosh; 06/25/2016 at 10:54 AM. |

They worked fine after reseating both bulbs last night. However, this morning the same 2 bulbs are not working again.
After swapping bulbs around I determined that one of the ATI blue plus bulbs would not light and would cause one other bulb to not light depending on which slot it was placed. I put the intensity to 100% to see if it would light and had no success. I am going to replace this bulb. Now I am curious if this may be a side effect of insufficient burn in? or is it just a bad bulb? I used the recommended 50 hours of burn in by ATI |

Another set up 2 bulbs failed to light. Again it was bulb 4 and 6, which are now different bulbs from when I started having this issue. As this is my first T5 setup, I am still wondering if this may be a side effect of insufficient burn in. I did burn in at 100% for the 50 hours recommended by ATI.
The other common thing is this is again happening with the bulb 4 and 6 pairing, but now with different bulbs |
