Ted sea max e170 first ever salty tank
So after finally convincing the better half I need a salt water tank to compliment my freshwater tanks I took the plunge and got myself the red Sea max e170.
All far happy enough with it, couple of minor issues ticking noise from the fan on the hyra LED's which I found to be caused by the fan blades tapping on the red wire. Poked that down and it's now silent. Small (but still annoying) 2" scratch on the inside of the tank glass red Sea and the retailer have been understanding and have offered to compensate me for that, I'll feed back with what when I find out. Gone for a mix of real reef rock and life rock and live caribsea natural sand Scape and water settled took ages I think due to the sand. Think I need more rock but it's a start. The plates real reef bolder's are life rock held in place using tmc epoxy putty. Currently on day 5 of the reday sea reef mature pro program. Next addition will hopefully be an auto top off system |
