Forgot to put GFO back in the tank
It has been three days from the max dose (BRS calculator). I took out my media reactor to change it and was sidetracked and forgot to put it back. Will this affect my corals. I have had some die...

If water is allowed to stagnate, the oxygen can get depleted and lots of stuff can die. When in doubt, throw it out.

Your phosphate may have risen a little but I can see how three days without GFO will hurt the tank.

I used GFO during an algae battle. Then I took it out for several months. Then reused it for several weeks before throwing it out to replace with new.
Never a problem. It did its thing. Yours will too. If you had it wet for the 3 days I'd rinse it a bit with salt water from your tank, just to freshen it up. |
