Aquascaping and haddoni
Long, long ago, I purchased a small haddoni (~5" diameter opened) and placed him in my LPS stocked 40b at my office with a pair of clowns. For the first 2 years, the haddoni basically rearranged the aquascape as he wished, killing everything in it's path aside from some frogspawn, gsp and some polys. He finally settled down and stays in one area after I started feeding him raw shrimp from the local seafood guys.
He's now ~14" across, the clowns lay a clutch of eggs regularly (then eat them), but he's basically 1/2 the width of the 40b, so it's time for an upgrade. While I'd love to do a 5' tank, my office will only support a 4', so I picked up a 90 for a song. My plan is to aquascape the 90, cycle it, and then transfer the live stock. I'm going to epoxy the aquascape together once I put something together I like, including a few spaces for the haddoni to bury it's foot. What else can I do to help ensure his safety from falling rock and not end up with a pile of rock?
