Aquatic life t5 for 75 gallon

I am purchasing an Aquatic Life 6 bulb t5 fixture for my 75 gallon. Do y'all think that would be too much light, or will I be ok. I have 2 Chinese black boxes over the tank right now, but want to start growing SPS and think this fixture will be great for that! I am planning to get all ati bulbs, which include 2 blue plus, 2 aqua blue special, 1 coral plus, and 1 purple plus. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!!

Matt

Ran the exact same light over my 90 gallon, you will be fine. I switched to a maxspect razor 300 watt a year and half ago.

Ok great! Did you have SPS in the 90? May I ask why you switched to LED?

Yes I had sps in the tank at the time, it was time to change the bulbs and thought I would put that money towards a new led fixture. Both have their pros and cons but I do not regret going led. Love the razor and sps have been doing good.

I just made the switch tonight from China boxes to an aquatic life 6 bulb with ati bulbs. The coral plus bulb I ordered came in dead so I had to use a 10k bulb for the time being. I have 2 blue plus, 2 actinic, a purple plus and the 10 k and my tank is blindingly white with them all on ... yours will be even more white with that combo. I'm planning on doing 3 blue plus, 1 coral plus, 1 actinic, and 1 purple plus with some new bulbs I have coming in. I'd highly recommend brs for bulbs, their customer support was amazing when I called to let them know about the dead coral plus, and their packing was pretty amazing too.

Oh wow thank you so much for that feedback! I will definitely take that into consideration when picking bulbs. You have a 75 too correct illwill? Your fixture on the legs or is it hanging? Thanks!

Mine is on legs, also added a panorama led strip to come on before and go off after the first 2 blue bulbs for additional viewing time and to get some more pop in my corals colors.

No reason to use an actinic use a blue plus in place of the actinic. Actinic adds no or very little par and the blue plus will be fine in place of the actinic. If I remember correctly I was running 3 blue plus, 2 coral plus and Fiji kZpurple. I used the Fiji purple and super blue in the one time slot. Been a while though.
