Rodi super slow suddenly
I have a vertex 100 gpd RODI with booster pump. I've added 2 more "modules" to it, so I am running sediment, 2 BRS chloramine blocks plus 2 DI. And a 100gpd membrane.....
It's been fine up until yesterday. I changed out all the water on my QT tank, and refilled it with new. I have 2 50g barrels that I am using, one to mix, and one to hold RODI water. I finished everything last night at 9 pm, and the rodi barrel was empty. I just checked it 12 hours later, and there was only 30 gallons in it. The booster reads 100 psi as always, but there is a trickle coming through the second DI membrane. What can I do to get it back up to speed? The second DI is almost exhausted, and I changed the membrane maybe a year or so ago. I'm getting 1 TDS before the DI

When last did you change the sediment and chloramine filters? Is the sediment filter discoloured. If these pre filters are getting clogged it will affect your production. Your RO membrane seems fine if you are getting 1 Tds after it. Where I am I have to change my pre filters at least once a month as there is so much sediment in the water.

If my sediment gets really clogged and I have not had time to change it, the sediment blows past and compromises the carbon filters as well. So keep that in mind as it may be possible that they need to be changed also. I have now installed pressure gauges pre and post sediment/carbon filters so that I can see the pressure drop to know when to change.

That's a great idea. I have to order the BRS chloramine blocks today. I've probably run 2500 (5000) g thru them

You guys were right. Sediment clogged. I changed it to a 5 micron, and changed out the chloramine cartridges. Back to normal.
