lighting for a IM nuvo 20

I current have a maxspect Razor r240 above my IM Nuvo 20. although I like the light and have had good growth in the tank (softies, LPS, SPS), It is often in the way when trying to do normal tank maintenance. I am considering upgrading to either a Kessil or or radion 15 or 30. which light would be more appropriate for this tank?

I have a Kessil on my Nuvo 20 and it's plenty enough. You have to kind of angle the gooseneck in a little or you get a ton of light spillage over the front. I'd probably go with a Radion though myself if I did it again.

Do you have the wide lease or the narrow on the kessil?

It's the wide lense.

Hmm I'm considering the Ecotech only becaue I have an apex. It's a good reason to buy the wxm and control my vortech at the same time.

I also have a kessil on my 20 Nuvo and it's a perfect coverage.

Interesting lot of kessil lovers out there, I know it's controllable via apex it just seems less user friendly that way. Any one connected to apex or are you using the kessil controller.

Or better yet to have the ultimate light you can get a 4x24 sunpower and then send it to Dave at nanobox so he can convert it into an LED hybrid with 2 bulbs and 2-4 LED pucks. And yes his nanobox units can be controlled via apex.

I used the Kessil controller for a while then got a VDM module for my apex and connected it that way. The Kessil controller, you can dim it down further. Either one not low enough to have a "moon light" mode in my opinion. I swapped it out for a Hydra 26HD and controllability with that light is pretty amazing.

well i bit the bullet and ordered the ecotech. I think the decision was based mainly on the fact that i needed to get a WXM which I can use to control my pumps.
