rodi setup
Getting the filter guyz ocean reef rodi system tomorrow. It's getting mounted on my basement wall next to the hose outlet down there (unfinished basement) any tips or advice on setup and plumbing? We have a gravity drain that runs outside right below so waste water wont be a problem at all. It will just water my yard.
Recommend brute trash cans for storage? Are those safe? How do i clean them out before I use them? Just salt and water? If you think of anything else you wish you would've known let me know. Thanks guys! |

Nothing on plumbing RO/DI.. Its dead simple..
extra shutoffs are nice as well as multiple pressure gauges (inlet and prior to RO membrane to see prefilter performance)... Dual TDS meters are great too.. yep.. gray brute cans work great... I just clean with soap/warm water first then vinegar.. Vinegar is a very universal cleaner for reef stuff..

Great choice on the rodi unit. I have one myself. As far as the brute I use them and had no issues at all. I gave mine a vinegar bath with some hose water. rinsed out several times let dry and it was ready to rock.
