Office tank - where would you put it?
I currently have a LED Biocube 32 in my private office and want to swap it out for something larger. I'll be moving the Biocube to a nearby co-workers office. I'm going to get a 4 or 5 foot display tank that i planned on setting up in my private office. The wall would be where I face when I am at my desk so I would see it a lot.
Someone said it's a better idea to put it in the main common area of the office and it's odd to have a big tank in my private office. Other info - we rarely ever have clients visit. If it was in the main area, people would only see it when they walk through the office. I think I am going to stick to a place where I personally enjoy it all day. Thoughts?

Put it where you can enjoy it. As long as you can still get your work done.

I've got a 42 gallon tank (info below) in my office. Not in our lobby or reception area, but in my private office. I do the work to maintain the tank - why have it where I only see it a few times a day? I have mine right across from desk, I can see it all day long. Am I less productive? Of course! Does it make going to work a little better each day? Heck yes.

I had a tank in my reception, never got to enjoy it. Moved it to my private office and am happy with my decision.

Are you paying for it, or the office/company?

I have a softie-filled 15 on my desk (it's huge, 7x3 foot) and people make a point to stop by and look at it. I rarely had visitors before but now I have a number of folks in the building that have all given my mama and papa clownfish their own set of names.
I say put it in your office. |

It is going in my office! Now I need to decide between the Reefer XL 425 or 525. Stay tuned!
