Giesemann se MH bulbs

Anybody have any thoughts on these? Apparently they are supposed to last 2x as long as a radium.

I was looking at the 250w coral bulb, which is 14500k. Can you run these on magnetic Lumatek ballasts?

I would contact coralvue and ask if they are pulse start or probe? There are magnetic ballast that are made for pulse start lamps, which is the standard now. Your older MH lamps were probe start

I don't think Lumatek ever made a magnetic ballast. The electronic/digital ballast will fire those. I've also never seen anything that showed a Giessman bulb "lasts" as long as a Radium.

my lumateks are the purple selectable watt ballasts. I also have the 3 new M80 pfo I found on a wholesalers shelf !!

I suppose that sticking with radiums is likely my best bet lol

Lucky you! I lost one of my m-80's and am now using a Lumatek. To be honest, I really can't tell the difference.
