Zoanthid transplant for toadstool?

There is a thread in the anenome section about feeding a bleached anenome a piece of another nem and the bleached one absorbing the zoanthid to color back up. Has any one tried something similar with toadstools? My toadstool was closed up for a few weeks and when he opened up the polyps were white.

Curious as to how you plan on feeding a toadstool that has no mouth?
There's a few threads in the nem forum regarding zoox transplant, but I don't think anyone has tried using zoa's. Info is limited even with using different types of anemone's on another nem.

What is the toadstool's placement in the tank? It could either be getting too much, or too little, light which has changed the polyp color.
Bleaching is usually caused by too much light and browning out from too little.

I bought a large 20" toadstool with purple polyps. Put in qt to treat aptashia. It shed once it qt. moved it to my 120. Didn't really open but shed again. I moved it to the other side. Didn't open and developed algae over 1 month. Thought I was going to lose it so did a dip in coral rx and put in qt. within 2 days it shed and fully extended but the polyps are white. I moved it back to my dt in the middle where it gets more flow and seems very happy. But polyps are still white. Not sure it was because of being closed up for a month or the dip. The lights are t5 8" above 24" tall tank.
