Uniseals
Are these things reliable? I was thinking of using them on my ATS but if they are going to leak then I don't want to.

A lot of people use them with no problems, if sized to pipe properly. Me, I like bulkheads and PVC glue. But that's just me.

I use them on my rodi & mixing station containers. I have 6 in use & I have never had one leak in the 3 or 4 years I've been using them. I use them on anything that isn't flat. I use bulkheads if they are going on a flat surface.

They are the best on curved surfaces

+1 @Lsufan. Have used them for three years on RODI station containers. No leaks!

The ATS is going to be a flat box. Guess I'll go with bulk heads. I did see a guy using them in a video so I figured I'd ask. Better safe then sorry.
Thanks Again Last edited by SFish; 09/20/2016 at 04:12 PM. |

They work just fine on flat surfaces..
They are just really good for moderately curved surfaces too.. I'm using them as bulkheads on my new macro/fuge tank..

I want the ATS to hold a small amount of water but it could get plugged and fill up to the emergency drain. I'm going to set it on top of my sump.

They work great for me, well made and tough.

Found this thread searching for an answer... There are may brand names and makers of these type of seals, Uniseal being one of them. Anyone care to opine on which ones are the most reliable?
