Circ pumps for a 90gal

48x18x24 90 gal DT (plus basement 40gal fuge and 10gal sump)

I have two Hydor Koralia 1000gph Circulation pumps hooked up to a hydor wave maker. They are opposite side of the tank and turn on/off opposite each other every 2 min.

My return pump is not very strong (as I have a 18foot rise) not sure but guessing I get about 300gph.

I also have a smaller 500gph circ pump in the back rear of the tank.

I have the Neptune controller shut off the wave-maker at night.

Running mostly LPS and just a few SPS.

Two questions:
Is this enough circ? I know the rule of thumb is 20-40x DT volume but as the hydra are not on together I may be light.

Think I should keep the wavemake circ pumps going at night?

I had 2 korilla 1500 on my tank when I set it up (90 Gallon). I had a good mix of chaotic high flow and easy flow depending on where you looked. My return is more powerful than yours as well.

I would say you are not providing enough flow although you may be okay if the tank is all fleshy LPS rather than leathers or SPS. (Edit, just saw that you are LPS dominant. Upping the flow may require a move or two...)

See what it looks like with one constant on and one on/off. I got rid of the korilla smart wave quickly because of the clicking and I think I had better flow in general with them both on but every tank is different.

They should stay on at night.

I would be concerned shutting the koralias off for the entire night. If I shut off my wave makers during the day I get almost zero movement from my corals and bubble tips from my 560GPH return pump (55 gallon tank) and 2 nano koralias. I would test to see how much you are actually pumping into your display from your return. After head loss and adjustments I am getting 150 GPH from my pump. What kind of movement do you get when koralias are off? if things are still swaying a bit you should be fine with the lps.
