Is PH 8.38 to 8.4 possible

I noticed recently my ph is higher than normal. I hadn't calibrated my ph probe recently, so I did so. I am getting readings of 8.38 to 8.4 constantly. So thought my probe was the culprit and was going to buy a new one. Strange thing is when I put the probe in 7 solution it reads 7, when I put it in 10 solution it reads 10. So it must be accurate, right?

Thoughts?

It seems a bit high to me, but I guess anything is possible. My pH... back when I measured it, would run between 7.8 and 8.2 but mostly 7.9 to 8.0.

I have hit pH as high as 8.5 before. That is a good thing. People who run co2 scrubbers or connect the skimmer airline hose to get air from the outside have naturally high pH.
