What is growing on my hammer coral? Possible pest?

Can anyone ID what is growing on my hammer coral?? Does it look harmful to the coral?

It's just a harmless sponge. No worries.

Cryptic sponges are feeding off the DOCs produced in your tank and converting it into alkalinity. They're very beneficial to have for your corals.
