Feather Dusters - eaten by shrimp?
would shrimp (peppermint) eat these? I got a new one and it was actually 2 and those damn shrimp seemed to be after it, moving it about the tank. I don't see either of the heads so I think it's gone. They were immediately after it and it looked healthy. I wish I hadn't gotten those bad boys. Not too fond of them.

Yep, it can happen. IME, also they have started nipping at coral once the aiptasia was gone.

I made the mistake of getting peppermint shrimp. Had them destroy some very expensive corals. No more for me.

No aiptasia. I got the stupid things because I just like shrimp. Dammit!
I'm going to have to feed more I guess. I got krill and the shrimp seem to like small pieces of that. |

Hmmm, what corals are the peppermints eating? I have had mine for about 1-2 months. I bought 4 of them, they plowed through my aiptasia, but have not touched anything else in my tank, including the feather duster.
Wonder if it's just a "matter of time". I'll have to keep an eye on them. I see them from time to time on top of my Duncan coral, but they are picking around the base, not so much eating the coral itself. Unless they are and I don't realize it yet. |

They were on a mushroom in my tank. I feed them krill now.
