New to the Forum

Hello all,

I have been in the hobby for about 2 years now and as many have fallen in love with my tank. I started out with a 30 gal tank and now have been running my 90 gal reef tank for a little over a year now. Currently in the tank I have one blue/green chromis (he killed off the other two), a 6 line wrasse, a pair of clownfish, a bi-colored blenny, a Kaudern's Cardinal, a flame angel, and a blue hippo tang. I am currently thinking about getting a sand sifting goby to clean up my sand bed more. If anyone has any suggestions about particular gobies that they love that would be greatly appreciated! I also would like to get two more fish for the tank, possibly a fire fish, a yellow tang or a Royal Gramma Basslet. I'm not sure that I would have room for the yellow tang but we will see. I also have one cleaner shrimp and am looking to get either another one or a different species so if anyone has had good luck keeping a cleaner shrimp and another shrimp in the same tank i'd love to hear about it.

Welcome and this site has been around for a long time. There is a wealth of knowledge here as well as great information and help. I would suggest not adding another tang to your tank because of it's size. In time the Hippo Tang may need to be re-homed as they get pretty large. The rest of the fish are fine for your tank.

Also in the photo it looks like you might have a Melanurus Wrasse and not a Sixline Wrasse. I have seen people mistake them for each other before.

dmarkham your definitely right about that, after buying it from the pet store I never even questioned that it wasn't a 6 line wrasse. Thanks gone fishin!

Welcome, Carefree!
You and I have the same size tank.
Yours is gorgeous - I'm envious!
The Sleeper Stripe goby would be a good addition to your tank!

Nope. NOT in a tank that size and with your Hippo! DEFINITELY NOT! But the Royal Gramma would be fine! I have one. He's great!
