ReefKeeper and Toms Aqualifter

I just set up my ReefKeeper lite plus with the Reefkeeper ATO setup using a Toms Aquqlifter pump for my ATO reservoir. My problem is when the outlet light on my Pc4 goes out (which the toms pumps is plugged into goes off indicating the outlet is off) the pump keeps pumping. I've tested the outlet when the light goes off and there is no power to it. How is the pump still pumping. The pump itself is still running when this happens so it cant be a back siphon issue. Any suggestions?

I believe there are 2 types of outlets on those units.. solid state and relay controlled.. You may be experiencing leakage because you are plugged into the solid state outlets.. try a different one.. I want to say the middle 2 are solid state and the outer 2 are relay outlets..

To use the Aqualifter on a PC4 add a surge protector between the PC4 outlet and the pump. Another way is to get a PB4. They have circuitry in them to kill the back EMF pulse from the pump.

I have the same setup and had a similar issue. When my ATO kicked on my MH lights would flickers, switched the Aqualift pump to the other outlet and problem was solved.

So look up on you tube for "Dosing Kalk using Toms AquaLifter and the ReefKeeper Lite"
I believe he is using a Belkin tiny form factor surge protector at the socket. Seems to be working for him very well.... let me know...
