Anyone still using first generation Ecotech Radion?
Like the title states- is anyone still using the first gen Radion fixture? I am, and wonder if it's tine to upgrade. I'd rather not, but admit the LEDs are old.
My tank is an Elos Midi with a softy/LPS focus.

I'm still running first gen Radions. I've also thought of upgrading, but I always stop myself because I ask myself "why?". The gen 1 Radions are old and lack some of the colors and features of the newer fixtures, but I've never had any issues with corals that make me think that I need a different light or that I'm missing a spectrum. Of all the equipment I've ever bought over my years of reefkeeping, I think the Radions are the best product I've ever bought actually. I'm actually surprised they're still running and functioning perfectly... especially when you consider how much younger this led technology was when I bought them 4.5 years ago. I'll probably keep running them until they either break or if I start seeing something weird in my tank that is attributed to the light aging.

I was running 1gens for many years. They were great. I'd probably still be running them if a wasn't selected to be a beta tester for the ethereals. My 1st gen radions grow these corals. Now look at the dates

The Gen 1s are a quality light. Not as powerful as future gens, but who runs their lights at full power to begin with? I have Gen 2s and sometimes I feel like a dinosaur when it comes to LED tech
