Need info on lighting for my new tank

Hi my name is Meer and ive been out of the hobby for a couple of years and ive seen leds boom out of control, and I need help deciding on which one to get. My tank is going to be the zoomed lowboy frag tank. Something about the dimensions I really like, and more then likely will become a lagoon style. its 48x24x10 I like the new radions but I still love t5's. If i did go the leds route how many would I need for the system or if t5's are better how many bulbs. My goal is to make the coral grow, I do like the shimmering look of leds but I rather have growth then anything else. Eventually I will be getting a bigger tank, but for now I want to get back with something small but not really. Thank you for the help

My 4'x2'x14" shallow reef tank has a 32" led fixture hung about 20" off the water. It's high because the tank is on a standard height stand (like waist high) and I want room to get into the tank and play. It also helps with spread to the ends of the tank. Over a typical 24" deep tank it wouldn't be an issue, but at about half that height, the light doesn't get to spread as much. So the higher mounting helps.
