Question Kenya tree

Ok so I picked up a very health Kenya tree from a friend and put it in my tank in a low to medium flow spot. It was doing well for the first 4 days but then it started to shrivel up and turn a greyish purple color. The small piece that was on the other side of the rock is now a bright pink/orange and is growing well. I want to know what is wrong with my big pretty one.... help?

Leather corals routinely shrivel up/shed skin/drop limbs, etc...
This can take a day or so or a week or more..
And they usually come out bigger/better

So long as its not "dissolving" just let it be..

Friends don't give friends Kenya tree's... seriously be careful with it spreading as it can/will take over.

I hope you like it everywhere because that's where it will end up!

These corals tend to prefer moderate lighting and a lot of chaotic flow IME. If you don't provide them with this they'll take on a long and spindly appearance as opposed to a healthy tree. (short & compact) You'll need to pay close attention to the coral as well. When they start dropping branches you'll want to pick these up ASAP. The only reason why a coral like this overtakes a tank is because the owner let it become that way.
