108g 48x24x21 peninsula tank build

I guess i'll start my tank build today. I've been lurking on reef central for some time browsing threats on how to successfully maintain the reef system. I also went through all seasoned reefers from TOTM and read their build threat and their amazing accomplishment to educate myself in this hobby.
My addiction began in 2013 when a friend show me his little saltwater nano. My first salt water tank was a 24g nuvo and had it for a year until i upgrade to this current tank in December 2014. This was a budget build so i DIY what i can and only prioritized on necessary equipment to run the system.
Current tank:
108g custom build 48x24x21 regular 1/2" glass
custom build stand
30g long sump with 3 chambers
10g top off/kalk tank
Lighting:
8x54watts ATI dimmable sun power with bulbs combo(b+c+b+b+b+b+p+b+)
1xkessil 150 and 1xkessil 360
2x 48"reefbrite led artinic strips
Equipments
Reef octopus 150INT skimmer
2x jebao Rw 15
1x jebao rw 8
rio1200 return pump
eiheim heater
aqualifter for auto top off
all equipment runs on mechanical timer.

Pix of the tank and stand that i build. It was first time with carpentry so it was quite challenging. i had to run back and fort to HD to get everything cut and the only tools i had was a electric screwdriver and a hammer.

My aquascape with totoka rocks from a LFS owned by a highschool buddy. Bought it live cured but i end up soaking it in 100% peroxide with no dilution for two weeks and dried in the sun for a week. Toltal weight of the rocks aproximately 35-45lb

Very unique. Who are your influences? It's a very non-traditional aquascape and I like it. What are those little pillars made of?

The idea is base off of final fantasy and floating island from avatar. The pillars is held by acrylic rod and fortified by epoxy

the tank was build by planet aquarium in Texas but i believed they are no longer in business. they're the one that build deep sea aquatic tanks

and about around november of 2016, my tank had a mini crashed after i came home from a trip. did a wc and the next day the entire tank got hit by a snow storm. completely white and barely see the inside. still didnt know what caused it. during the time, i stop doing wc and i started peroxide dosing and ran UV.

this drag out about a week before it cleared up. i lost 3 colonies from this and the entire tank brown out.

starting from september 2016 is when i removed my 6 bulbs t5 and replaced it with the 8 bulbs ati.
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
my home has high celling so i have to custom build the arm bracket to mount the t5. idea is welcome for those who doesn't like hanging the light.

parts cost about $30 to make and probably will cost you a little extra to have someone weld it together.

i had to rescape a bit on the right rock. the top standing piece is a little high and will affect the coral since it's too close to the surface. i took the top part down and make it flat for more space to put and grow sps.
