Corona by Rapid LED
Have purchased several times from Rapid LED and have always been happy. Was initially excited about the Corona but not so much after using it for several months. Fishbit app is very unstable and crashes alot. Several times a week the unit has to be unplugged and plugged back in because it gets stuck in its current state and will not ramp down. Daily the light blinks off for 1-2 seconds then comes back on. And lastly the fan works when it wants but with a simple blow of air it gets going. I would stray away until the next generation comes out or until the issues are addressed.

Have you tried to address these issues with Rapid LED? I've never dealt with them, but they have a pretty good reputation. I would think they would try to help you out. But they don't have a sponsor forum here.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the start up issues with the Fishbit launch. I haven't heard a thing since last fall concerning their aquarium controller release leaving a bunch of backers and pre order people high and dry. (Don't know if that has since been resolved or not) Has that devolved into them not addressing their software bugs with the Fishbit light controller App for the Corona? I don't know, just taking a stab in the dark here...
