!!AI Hydra Emergency!!
After a brief power outage one of my AI Hydras will not come back on. I have went through AI's FAQ and their guide. The blinking green lights mean it can't connect to a network so it has decided to stay off. I can't connect to it directly either by adding the serial number or through wifi.
Why on earth it defaults to staying off if it can't connect to a network is beyond me. It does the normal warmup where the light partially comes on and then turns off. Their tech support has me severely disappointed. I had no idea that a possibility after a power outage was "light won't come on." |

Have you tried restarting everything? My XR15 likes to be temperamental after the power is off, usually restarting apex (in my cause) fixes it.

I have multiple times. I don't have Apex I have two Hydra 26HD's. One is connecting fine (it was the child before and I made it the parent) and the other has been sitting there blinking the green lights for hours. Thanks :-( I am thinking something is broken. I only had it for a few months.

I held the back button down for a while and now its flashing all the colors. Their FAQ basically says "send back." Great, so now I have to shell out now for a new light and even if I get a free replacement I can't wait however long that would take.

Well now that you made the other the parent, erase the old program on the non functioning one and reboot. Hopefully then you'll be able to connect it as a child.

Update: I updated the firmware on the one working light and both appear to be working!!
As an aside, we now live in a world where the question "How many X does it take to change a light bulb" is no longer a symbol of something easy like flipping a switch! I have Phillips Hue lights everywhere in our house and I had no idea how often you have to fiddle with them too. |

Update 2: The light is no longer working again. I am beginning to think something is actually broken again. I don't know what the alternative to this brand is but why on earth did they decide to do the Apple BS and not have a button to turn it on in the back? I hate this minimalist "operate everything with an App" mindset.
